Kevin Feige brought out director Jon Watts who revealed to the crowd that {Spider-Man: Homecoming is a "straight-up high school movie." Here's what he had to say below, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.
"It's a straight-up high school movie, about a 15-year old kid. We know what it's like to be a billionaire playboy inventor. We learned what it's like to be an alien God... We're going to learn what it's like to be kid in 10th grade going through puberty."The footage that was shown to the crowd wasn't released online, but numerous reports reveal that the footage was set at the high school, with several girls discussing which Avengers they have crushes on. When one girl says she has a crush on Spider-Man, Peter Parker stops in his tracks in gym class, having heard the confession with his spidey senses. There are also scenes where Peter is making fluid for his web shooters under a desk, while another shows Zendaya's character making fun of Peter and his friend for staring at the girls. Another scene features Peter telling a teacher, played by Martin Starr, that he needs to leave a library discussion, when Zendaya's character asks what he's hiding, before admitting that she's only kidding. Take a look at the concept art below, and stay tuned for more on Spider-Man: Homecoming as production continues.
